I guess some of you might be wondering what I have been doing on the Dix Didi Mini for the last two months.
Not as much as I wanted, but the new startup business, www.thirdcoastcomposites.com has really absorbed more time than I thought. I have set up the CNC router, cut and shipped two Paper Jet 14's to the opposite coasts and am cutting a Didi Mini to ship to Quebec City.
In between I have been working on the keel assembly. Got the keel pin off to the machinists and back.

This is a shot with all the interior aluminum webbing in place.
I will need to take it to the welders next to weld the keel pin / webbing joints.
I also got the keel pin bearing holders and bearings machined.

Click on read more.
This is what the bearing holder will look like once welded and sitting in the bottom of the keel box.

So off to the welder on Monday, January 7th.
No pictures, but some work has been done on the foils. Two or three coats of fairing filler and sanding.....
Check the Photo Gallery for more photos.
